The O.D.C creation aims to contribute to the satisfaction of the consumer’s rights as proclaimed by the United Nations and the International Organisation of the Consumer, which are detailed as follows:
1-Right to satisfy essential needs
This right includes the access to adequate food, clothing, housing, health care, education and hygiene.
2- The right of guarantee on products:
The consumer should be protected against all products, production processes or services that may threaten his health or life.
3-The right to be informed
The consumer shall have honest and adequate information that enable him to throw light on his choices, to satisfy his needs being well informed and to protect himself against deceitful information.
4 -The right to choose
It is the right to have varied and competitive products and services and in case of no competition, the right to have good quality products with correct prices..
5-the right of representation
It is the right to be understood and represented at the instances where are taken economic decisions so as his interests be taken into consideration.
6- The right of legal action
It is the right to get the damages and the prejudices repaired, and if need is, the right of free legal support to resolve small litigation.
7- The right of education
The consumer shall acquire the knowledge and the techniques so as to be a well informed and responsible consumer.
8-The right to get a healthy environment:
The protection of the environment and the quality of life, for the present and future generations.
